In winter, Ebinur Lake in Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is covered with snow, looking so beautiful as if it were a fairyland.

The lake surface has frozen over, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds like a mirror.

When viewed from the air, the mounds of snow rising above the blue ice form a series of ever-changing abstract paintings. They resemble mountain ranges with countless gullies, rivers with branching tributaries, and even more so, a mysterious and desolate alien world.

Strolling along the lakeside, each step you take produces a "squeak" sound, which is a unique melody of winter. The winter of Ebinur Lake is a wonderful gift from nature.
