On February 13, 2025, farmers were busy sowing spring wheat in Tuobuliqi Township, Korla City, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

This year, the Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture plans to plant over 290,000 mu (about 19,34 hectares) of spring wheat. Korla City is taking full advantage of the warmer weather to expedite the sowing process. According to staff from the Agricultural and Rural Bureau of the Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Tuobuliqi Township is the first in the prefecture to begin sowing spring wheat this year, with other counties expected to start their sowing operations shortly afterward.
