InXinjiang㊹| Iranian counsellor planning his fourth one after three visits to Xinjiang

For this episode, InXinjiang has specially invited Reza Pirpiran, the First Counsellor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in China. This is his third visit to northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

As a counsellor, Mr. Pirpiran has always paid close attention to international affairs. Previously, his understanding of Xinjiang was largely shaped by Western media reports, which claimed things like "Xinjiang is a less developed region in China" or "The Chinese government doesn't care about the people in Xinjiang as a whole." He noted that it was only after he actually visited Xinjiang that he realized there was no significant difference between Xinjiang and other parts of China, and that the development level was just as high. Each visit to Xinjiang has shown him a different picture from what he had previously known.

Addressing the Western media's allegations of so-called "forced labor" in Xinjiang, Pirpiran said he had visited a wide range of enterprises and factories. He had seen for himself the working conditions of the employees and was impressed by the advanced technology and modern facilities they used. "Their work environment is very convenient and well-developed," he noted. "There is no so-called 'forced labor' here."
