Xinjiang's Dulata Port hosts an inaugural kite gala and investment promotion event

Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Song Weiguo) new: On March 8, 2025, at the RV camping base at the Dulata Port in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the grand opening of the inaugural kite gala and investment promotion event was held. Over a hundred distinctive-shaped kites, including a giant octopus, the China-Europe freight trains, characters from "Huluwa," (a famous character of Chinese folk stories), and "Nezha," (hero of a famous Chinese fairy tale, the movie "Nezha," adapted from the story, has gained huge success in Chinese movie industry), soared in the blue sky, composing a spring symphony of cultural tourism integration and open development.

As the event commenced, a giant kite shaped like a China-Europe freight train gradually ascended into the sky with the collective effort of ten people. The massive locomotive and carriages swayed in the wind, attracting numerous onlookers to snap photos. This kite was specially ordered by the Dulata Port Management Committee from Weifang Xiangyuan Lantern Processing Co., Ltd. On that day, the company brought more than 20 giant kites, including a 100-meter-long kite inscribed with the slogan of the event, a giant rotating kite with a diameter of 15 meters and a length of 40 meters, and a giant octopus kite stretching 45 meters...

As a vital land passage connecting China with Central Asia, West Asia, and even Europe, Dulata Port possesses unique advantages in developing and strengthening its cultural tourism industry.
