Wild yaks gallop across the Altun Mountains, NW China's Xinjiang

In mid-March, as the weather gradually warms up, the Altun Mountains National Nature Reserve in Ruoqiang County, Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, sees spring breezes breathing vitality into the winter-slumbered plateau. Herds of wild yaks trek together across the mountains, leaving trails of dust behind and infusing the desert highlands with spring's vigor.
