Pakistan's ambassador to China: Numbers and actions speak louder than words

An event hosted by northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in Beijing on Monday gathered 70 foreign envoys sharing their own views on Xinjiang with firsthand experiences.

Khalil Hashmi, Pakistan's ambassador to China, underscored in his remarks that he had thoroughly reviewed reports on this year’s Xinjiang regional "two sessions," asserting that 'numbers and actions speak louder than words.' He emphasized that the social and economic advancements in China’s Xinjiang are truly impressive.

Looking ahead, Khalil Hashmi said that there remains vast potential for expanding exchanges between Pakistan and China's Xinjiang in trade, tourism, and people-to-people interactions. The Embassy of Pakistan in China is resolved to work closely with Chinese friends, institutions, and Pakistani counterparts to vigorously promote, facilitate and advance development in economic, trade, investment, tourism and cultural fields. Khalil Hashmi concluded, "The mountains that connect us are high, but the friendship that binds us is higher still."
