On April 23, 2025, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Political Parties Forum opened in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China. In her speech, Anusha Rahman Ahmad Khan, Senator of PML-N and Former Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication of Pakistan said that in the process of advancing modernization, Pakistan recognizes the significance of drawing from the experiences of different civilizations to advance its own development. In this regard, the role of China is particularly notable. China's long-standing commitment to fostering people-to-people exchanges and cultural diplomacy has not only enriched and brought closer the global community, but also laid the foundation for a more inclusive approach to modernization. Like China, Pakistan remains committed to advancing these exchanges, ensuring that its development models are inclusive, culturally sensitive and collaborative.

She said, "As we continue to engage in economic globalization, it is essential that we work collectively to ensure that these opportunities are shared equitably and that the benefits of globalization reach humanity."
