Shiliuyun-Xinjiang Daily (Reporter Zhao Xiya) news: On April 25, 2025, teachers and students from Almaty College Academy of Logistics and Transport in Kazakhstan concluded their two-week academic visit to northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autnomous Region, and set off on their return journey with a wealth of new knowledge and experiences.

One of the visiting students said that from the moment they stepped onto the campus, they felt a sense of home. He mentioned that walking around the school, they were impressed by the modern training centers and the picturesque recreational areas. He also highlighted that the advanced equipment and professional guidance in the classrooms were truly eye-opening. Above all, he emphasized the sincere smiles and the thoughtful care from the teachers and students there.
The 20-member delegation visited Xinjiang Vocational and Technical College of Communications. During their stay, the college meticulously designed a curriculum that included specialized topics such as "International Logistics and Freight Forwarding" and "Application of Intelligent Warehouse Technology." The group also visited companies like Xinjiang Jiuzhoutong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., to observe real-world applications. The Kazakhstani teachers and students delved into classrooms and training bases to systematically learn about China's experience in smart logistics and digital transportation.
The team leader remarked that the innovation and sophistication of China's logistics technology were truly astonishing. She added that Xinjiang, as a core area of the Belt and Road Initiative, played a vital role as a hub and offered a valuable learning model for them.

Beyond academic studies, the visiting group also engaged in a rich array of cultural exchange activities. Visits to the Xinjiang Museum, the Xinjiang Art Museum, and the Urumqi Museum allowed the Kazakhstani teachers and students to gain an in-depth understanding of the history of the Silk Road and the diverse cultures of Xinjiang. At a friendship event between Chinese and Kazakh students, the two groups performed songs and dances together and practiced calligraphy with traditional Chinese brushes, experiencing the charm of different cultures.
Wang Han, the Party secretary of Xinjiang Vocational and Technical College of Communications, said, "This visit marks a new beginning for cooperation between our two institutions. In the future, we plan to jointly develop international courses, establish regular teacher and student exchanges, and cultivate high-quality technical talent to support the construction of the China-Kazakhstan logistics corridor."
In recent years, to enhance its internationalization and promote high-quality vocational education, Xinjiang Vocational and Technical College of Communications has continuously expanded its international cooperation channels and built a multi-level, multi-field international education cooperation system. The college has reached preliminary cooperation intentions with two Kazakhstan universities in areas such as joint research and faculty and student exchanges. It has also been selected as a partner institution for the Sino-German Advanced Vocational Education (SGAVE) project, where it collaborates with Germany to develop and implement high-quality international vocational education projects in a "dual-system" model. These efforts aim to lay a solid talent foundation for industrial transformation and high-quality development.
