Discover how one person runs 100 mining trucks in NW China's Xinjiang

The Shitoumei No.1 Coalfield in Hami Santanghu Mining Area contains proven geological reserves of 3.575 billion tons, covering an area of 102.75 square kilometers. The mining complex features an open-pit operation with planned annual production capacity of 25 million tons and an underground mine section designed for 10 million tons per year. Located 120 kilometers due north of Barkol County in Hami City, northwest China's Xinjiang, the open-pit coal mine sits in the central zone of Santanghu Mining Area and falls administratively under Barkol County's jurisdiction.

The coalfield contains five minable coal seams with an average cumulative thickness of 41 meters. Current operations utilize 91 autonomous mining trucks capable of 24/7 operations. These unmanned vehicles have achieved normalized mixed fleet operations with manned trucks, demonstrating 3-4 hours of additional daily operation time compared to conventional manned haulage systems.
