InXinjiang (56) | Qatari scholar: For a real Xinjiang, see it yourself

Recently, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Political Parties Forum opened in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. More than 200 participants gathered together, including leaders from over 60 political parties and organizations across more than 20 member states, observer states, and dialogue partners, along with diplomatic envoys from several nations stationed in China, to engage in in-depth discussions.

Ezzeddine Abdelmoula, manager of research at the Al Jazeera Centre for Studies in Qatar, praised Xinjiang as a beautiful and resource-rich region. He highlighted its rich tapestry of diverse cultures, which have a long and storied history. He also noted Xinjiang's rapid development and immense potential.

He commended Xinjiang's achievements in infrastructure and technology. As a core area of the Belt and Road Initiative, Xinjiang holds significant importance for regional cooperation. Ezzeddine Abdelmoula called for leveraging platforms like the forum to counter the one-sided reporting by Western media, allowing the world to see the true and comprehensive picture of Xinjiang and to foster international cooperation and exchange.
