MEXICO CITY, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Argentine forward Angel Correa completed a medical with Tigres UANL on Thursday after agreeing to join the Mexican club from Atletico Madrid.
Tigres published a video on social media showing the 30-year-old undergoing a routine physical test, a day after confirmation that he would end his 10-year spell at Atletico Madrid.
The Monterrey-based club has not revealed details of the agreement.
Correa made 469 appearances for the Spanish club, scoring 88 goals and providing 65 assists. He was part of the squads that won the Spanish league title in 2020-21 and reached the Champions League final in 2016.
For Argentina, he has been capped 28 times, featuring in the squads that won the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2021 Copa America.
Tigres' first match of the Liga MX Apertura tournament is a home clash against Juarez on July 19.
