Listed as a first-class state-protected animal in China, Przewalski's horses are a rare horse native to the steppes of Central Asia, and the only surviving wild horse species on Earth.
After more than 30 years of breeding research, by the end of 2023, the population of Przewalski's horses in Xinjiang reached 534, making it the largest breeding base for wild horses in the world.
